In 2019, EJ McCoy and Josh Cahill, long-time friends, founded Chorbie in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex. Prior to this, they operated under the Weed Xtinguishers brand, offering lawn care and pest control services. As their business expanded, they received increasing requests and referrals for additional services such as landscaping, handyman work, and pool cleaning. Recognizing a gap in the market, McCoy and Cahill established Chorbie with the goal of providing homeowners with a single source for a wide range of home services.
